Day 1 – Airport – Minuwangoda | A Soft Landing into Island Life

Your journey begins with a warm Sri Lankan welcome. Upon arrival, you will be privately transferred to your hotel.

Thereafter you will be taken to Chilaw (Approx. 1.5 hours drive) to witness the fascinating tradition of toddy tapping, an age-old skill passed down through generations. Wander through a working toddy tapping plantation. See the acrobatic toddy tappers make their way from tree to tree on a tight rope to collect the daily harvest. Enjoy a hot lunch and taste the freshly tapped toddy.
